Two for Two!!

This is just a little blog of 2 awesome things that’s happened to me yesterday.  One by total shock, the other by just awesomeness.

Let me do the shocker first.  It’s not that often that I go into my messages on YouTube.  Mainly cause I get video messages from those I follow that they had made a new video for me to see.  Or comments I’m after getting from the videos I’ve made.  But this message took me by total shock.

Apparently someone had nominated one of my Stargate SG-1 videos from YouTube for this other site.  I had to read it over a few times to see if I was really reading what I was reading.  I’m not one of those people that loves to promote herself either.  I post a video under everyone’s radar and not tell anyone I’ve made one.  I’ll tell certain friends I’ve made one, other then that, it gets unnoticed.  🙂

Well when I got that note yesterday, not only was I in disbelief, I just couldn’t believe that someone liked one of my videos that much to want to nominate it.  Weather I win that category or not, it doesn’t matter.  The fact that someone felt that way made me speechless.  🙂  So to whoever it was that nominated my video, you honestly brightened my day.  Thank you. 🙂

The second thing that happened yesterday is something I still can’t go into too much detail.  Not that it’s a secret, but for the fact that it still may not happen.  Depends on how busy this person is.

There’s this awesome lady that I follow on Twitter who is coming  here to film a guest spot on a tv show.  I asked her if there’s a chance we could meet up, with her reply that she’d love to meet up with me.  So of course when I read that, you can imagine the reaction.

Yes, I was quite literally jumping up and down in my kitchen, dancing.  Things like this doesn’t happen to me.  Not on this scale.  I mean, sure, I’ve meet celebrities who get an invite to our convention – Scifi on the Rock, but not on a spur of the moment thing.

I’m still so excited to see her, and being tomorrow is payday, I’ll have to get her a little something.  🙂

But don’t worry,, I’ll have LOADS to share when I meet up with her.  Until then, smile with me for having an awesome day.

And the fun continues…

Well that was different.  Usually when we go to the cabin it’s just hubby and I, or him and the kids.  But never all four of us at same time.  But I won’t bore you with the early details of the journey there.  Although, I did have to stop a few times and catch my breath.  Yes, I’m that out of shape that I needed to stop and grab something cold to drink before I continued walking the rest of it.

Unfortunately, I forgot our regular camera.  So I had to use my cell phone instead.  I didn’t get the best shot of the moon – as it was rising.  What a brilliant orange.  And full at that.  Next time I’ll remember to take the camera.  I will post the only picture I emailed myself to show you all.  The rest I have to wait to get the proper hook up from my cell to the laptop so i can take them all off at once.  Emailing pictures to myself, or others, is costly.

Well by 10:30pm the kids were out like a light.  Then hubby and I opened up some snacks and had a couple of drinks.  He had his beer, me the whiskey.  Though, after my 2nd one, I’m surprised I was able to stand up on the quad to get the pictures I took without falling off.

All in all it was a fun night.  Quiet and peaceful.  And best of all, there was no yelling to get the kids to bed – namely Denise.  I guess with the fresh air, and the walk from the gravel road to the cabin that Denise and I done, wiped her out.  Bless her, well both of them really, they were so tired.  Best part of all was, NO ACCIDENTS!  YAY!!!!!!!!

We all woke up about 8am, enough time to grab a small snack for the kids to eat before we left the cabin and headed for home for a sensible breakfast.  Although now, hubby has a hangover.  Which is weird as I’m usually the one getting those after a night of drinking, LOL.  But oh well.  His turn this time, LOL.

Well, that’s it for out night away from home.  Hope you enjoyed the little read.  I’ll be sure to try and get the other pictures to you all as soon as I can.
