My Thoughts on The Listener 305 “Rogue’s Gallery”. Plus a sneak peek of “She Sells Sanctuary”.

The cast of The Listener

Welcome back THE LISTENER fans !!!

His return to Toronto can only mean he’s involved in an upcoming heist and she plans to use his capture to the IIB’s advantage – to smash a huge international theft ring.”  Quoted by CTV.

Click here to visit Shaftesbury FilmsI’m going to thank the great folks at Shaftesbury Films for the use of the pictures.  If it wasn’t for help, this post would be a tad boring.  So a big thank you for the pictures so far, and for future ones.  You are all awesome.

Now on to the reason why you’re all here.  Rogue’s Gallery.  I was able to finally watch this episode on Sunday evening at home.  I tried to watch this initially at my in-law’s house while on holidays, but for some reason it wasn’t on their TV.  Which I was very disappointed in.  I dislike missing an episode of my favorite series.  But I would have only watched it on the CTV website anyway.

Michelle done a great job with her new job description – art thief.  And with the help of Dev, she went from cop to tech geek.  Although, I have to commend her, I wouldn’t have been able to remember all that techno babble she had to, to convince the big time art thieves that she was just like them.

This is a great look for Michelle.  I’m liking the leather look, gives her a different appearance then the dress clothes we are used to seeing her in.  I hope to see more of this from Michelle.  It’s nice to change your look every once in a while.  Makes things more interesting when you do. 🙂

When I first seen this guy I thought that “he’s hiding something.”  It’s one of those situations where you can almost figure out who is really who.  Although, he did elude Michelle real good.  If you remember the way they figured out who he really was, and the use of the word “butterfly”, it was done very well.

And keeping with that thought, I done a search on the meaning of a butterfly.  To my avail, there’s so many different meanings of it, but they mainly all come back to “change”.  Not only did Manny “change” from who Michelle knew him as to the guy she was trying to nail for all the stolen art, but this episode is like a change from how the series will turn out.  Toby seems to be moving away from the paramedic part of how he started and moving on to the crime part.  Leaving poor Oz (Ennis Esmer) to more or less fend for himself.  Even though Oz is acting supervisor while Ryder is away.

And what a good job he done too.  Well except for the part where he searched a locker without proper notification.  He brings such comic relief to the show.  One of the best qualities about the character.

Then we have Dr. Fawcett (Mylene Dinh-Robic).  I was happy to see her in this one.  A little longer then the last episode, but still nice to see.  She had a patient who had dementia and was calling her his dead wife.  It was cute, but I can’t help but wonder how common this disease is.

Corporal Dev Clark (Rainbow Sun Francks) and Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik) try to contain a hostage situation at an art auction house.

I’m thinking this is going to be a common occurrence with these two.  Now don’t get me wrong, I miss the Toby and Oz pairing, but if the IIB is where Toby will be focusing towards, then this fits.  It’s going to be interesting to see how the rest of the series will turn out.  Bring on Season 4 !!!!!!!

My Thoughts on The Listener: Episode 304: The Taking. Plus a sneak peek at Episode 5, Rogue’s Gallery.

The cast of The Listener

Welcome back The Listener fans.

Click to visit CTV.caToby and Michelle investigate the abduction of an African teenager whose driver/bodyguard, Kwesi, was shot during the altercation”. Quoted from CTV.

This episode is a good example of never judge a book by it’s cover, or appearances may be deceiving.  Though, I’m going with the second one.

The Listener: Episode 304 - "The Taking"

Abbassi Ayim (Eugene Clark), with his bodyguard Rafiq (Conrad Coates), meets Alvin Klein (Peter Stebbings) and a metro officer (David Gingrich) to discuss his son’s kidnapping.

We open up with a kidnapping of a son to a very important person.  Well one that you don’t want to cross to put it another way.  This is one man who have done the worse kind of things to other people.  Well maybe there’s others that may come to mind to you, but I don’t want to compare this character to a real person.  I’ll leave that to you to do.

It seems that Toby is moving away from his paramedic duties and concentrating on the crime aspect under the supervision of the IIB.  Now don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to see Toby using his telepathy to help Michelle and Dez, but I can’t help but think of Oz (Ennis Esmer).  As we see in this episode, he’s venturing into a different aspect of his career as well.  Wanting to be a supervisor.  That’s a big step for Oz.  Especially where he’s always joking around and loving the bar life.  This course is showing that he can be responsible and sort of grow up a bit.  I don’t mean that in a bad way, but for those of you who know the characters and have grew with them since season 1, then you all know what I mean.

I’m not that thrilled that they (meaning Toby and Oz) have kinda separated in a way. I loved them together.  I hope that future episodes will bring them back together again.  Those two together is what people love to see.  Well that’s my opinion anyway. 🙂

I love this picture.  Michelle and Toby makes a great team.  I’d love to have my own IIB badge like Toby has.  It would make for a great addition to any outfit. 🙂  Though again, I feel bad for Dez.  He does all the hardest work, tracking people down, ID-ing people, all the tech stuff with no thanks.  But I’m sure he’s appreciated.  Getting all caught up in all the action, sometimes the small things get over looked.   But us fans love ya Dez, 🙂

Gotta love this part of the show.  This is where Toby is helping track down someone who might know the whereabouts of the kidnapped young boy.  We see Toby use his telepathy, the part where he can read the thoughts of a person who’s close by.  But we also see a new power that Toby seems to be developing – seeing into the future.  Even if it’s just for a few seconds, but it makes one wonder if this will start to get more pronounced as the season progresses.  Maybe something we have to look forward too for a possible season 4??  *crosses fingers* One can hope. 🙂

You gotta love a girl with a gun.  Especially when she’s looking like this.  I believe that the addition of this character was a great addition to an already amazing cast.  Even though we don’t see much of Olivia (Mylene Dinh-Robic), but the scenes we do see her in, usually with Oz, are fun to watch.  I usually find myself chuckling at their conversations.  I hope to see more of that. 🙂

I know I’ve written this a tad different from the past ones, but I thought I’d try something other then the usual stuff.  Recapping what’s happened on a show is one thing, but I felt like trying to go another route.  I hope you enjoyed the read, and please feel free to make a comment below.  I love reading messages from you all.  🙂
